Principal Letter

Dear Sentinel Students and Families,

It is with the greatest honor and gratitude that I have the opportunity to serve you all as the Principal of Veterans Tribute Career & Technical Academy.

For the past five years, I have had the privilege of serving as the Assistant Principal here at VTCTA, joining this incredible community on August 12, 2019. During that time, I have been
fortunate to build strong relationships with many of our students, families, and staff. It has been an honor to work alongside you in fostering an environment where our students can thrive both academically and personally.

As I step into this new role, I bring with me over 12 years of experience within the Clark County School District. I began my teaching career as a special education teacher at Ruby Duncan Elementary School and later served as a special education teacher and soccer coach at Brian and Teri Cram Middle School. As an administrator, I served as the dean of students at Centennial High School, dean of students at William H. Bailey Middle School, and most recently as assistant principal at VTCTA.

My time at VTCTA has only deepened my commitment to our mission of preparing students for careers in public safety. I am passionate about ensuring that every student at VTCTA has the opportunity to succeed and reach their full potential. As your principal, I will continue to prioritize a supportive, inclusive, and innovative learning environment where every student feels valued and empowered.

I am excited about the future of VTCTA and the incredible opportunities that lie ahead. Together,
we will continue to build on the strong foundation that makes our school so special. Together,
we’ll continue to Prepare Everyday Heroes.

Thank you for your ongoing support and trust. I look forward to working closely with all of you
in the upcoming school year and beyond.

In Partnership,

Joshua Davis, Principal
Veterans Tribute Career & Technical Academy
