Veterans Tribute Career & Technical Academy's Junior Reserves Officers Training Corps (JROTC) has a mission of "Developing citizens of character dedicated to serving their nation and community."  U.S. Army JROTC is not millitary accessions program and cadets are never under any obligation to join the military.
 
The U.S. Army JROTC Cadets program motivates students to be better citizens, promotes community service, instills personal responsibility, character, and self-discipline. 
 
Classroom Advisors:
Sergeant Major, Gary Schoolfield: Served 27 years in the military and a combat Veteran; and was awarded the Bronze Star.  He has been an Army JROTC Instructor since 2010.  The Sergeant Major is the proud father of two boys Elijah age 6 and Jaseer age 3.  He enjoys personal fitness, is a basketball fan and best of all loves times spent with family and friends.
 
1st Sergeant, Randy Horton: Served his country for 21 years in the military with three combat tours; and was awarded the Bronze Star; additionally he as been a JROTC instructor since 2010.  The 1st Sergeant is blessed with a beautiful wife and a 12 year old son, Devin.  He has a passion for adventure, especially in the great outdoors.
